The new BMW X6 is still warm from the oven, so to speak, and already the tuners are lining up to make it hotter. One of the first to step up is LUMMA Design. The Winterlinger-based tuner's CLR X 650 features a widebody kit and performance upgrades and it is displayed at the Essen Motor Show 2008.

The BMW X6-based coupe SUV (that's what BMW asked everyone to call it) is stepping out on huge 23-inch wheels which make it slump a bit more because of its 35mm-lowered sport suspension.

The tuning package for BMW X6 also includes a full widebody kit with 5cm fender extensions, front and rear bumper spoilers and side skirts. Carbon-fiber detailing is also used on the show car. An air ducted carbon hood is also included. The CLR X 650 is snugged down over those massive wheels thanks to a 35mm drop courtesy of the lowered sport suspension designed by LUMMA.

The 4.4 liter turbocharged V8 has a reprogrammed ECU and a stainless sport exhaust to boost power, and LUMMA has also introduced a "gas pedal power module" (GPM) that increases pedal response. CLR X 650 has an upgraded interior so the outside matches the inside as well. Leather and Alcantara feature heavily on the seats and the LUMMA logo appears in a number of surfaces, including the foot pedals.

Honda Sports Concept


Oct 16, 2003 – Whilst technically a concept car, the HSC (Honda Sports Concept) gives a clear indication of what to expect from next year’s replacement for the mid engine Honda NSX supercar that was launched as long ago as 1989.

Progressing the NSX’s influential ethos of easily accessible high performance, Honda describe the HSC as ‘a new-age high-performance mid-engine sports car that anyone can drive’ which is evident in part in the car’s relatively low waistline and large glazing area that should afford good visibility in this class.

With a development of the NSX’s 3.2 liter V6 engine ‘designed for high efficiency and an output in excess of 300 horsepower’, a paddle shift transmission and a lightweight composite and aluminum construction, the car would better the current NSX’s performance to bring it in line with the Ferrari 360 Modena and Porsche 911 Carrera.

The HSC is 18cm shorter that the NSX, has a far shorter rear overhang despite a longer wheelbase, is 9cm wider and marginally lower to give a more dramatic proportion similar to the Lamborghini Gallardo.

The concept car has cameras replacing its side mirrors and an ‘I-drive’ style control interface mounted on its center console.

VOLKSWAGEN EOS TUNING



The Belgian company Caractere specialized in tuning of German brands, takes a beautiful convertible by Volkswagen called VW Eos. Eos comes from Greek mythology. Eos was a goddess of dawn that every morning left the sea and brought sunshine to her people. Also Volkswagen Eos brings the sunshine that white-out whole interior.
Also the stock version of VW Eos has nice sporting shapes, but still retiring and elegant. No doubt that this model is great, because also it has strong competitors – Peugeot 307CC, Renault Megane CC, Opel Astra TwinTop or Ford Focus CC.
VW Eos offers a nice range of engines, form 1.6 FSi with 85kW at 6000rpm to 3.6 litre V6 producing 184kW at 6400rpm. Wit this powerful engine it can reach 100kmph in 7.3 seconds and 247kmph. If you prefer fuel economy, you can choose less powerful 2.0 TDI turbocharged diesel aggregate producing 103kW.
So as we mentioned before, the design of Volkswagen’s Eos is excellent. But there are some people that want more – more individuality for someone who isn’t satisfied with stock design.
So this is the reason why Caracter takes Eos under their wings.
Eos has now a new front spoiler that radically changes the front part. In the best way, of course. Three big openings involve grids and fog lamps. There’s a new rear spoiler too. Potential customer can choose if he wants visible exhaust tips or not. It’s up to him.
There’s no bodykit without nice side sills connecting both spoiler’s lines of a car. Like both spoilers, also in this case, the side sills are decent and underline Eos’s sporting accent.
The highlight of the bodykit is the spoiler on the trunk. Once again it’s decent, but stylish.

MINI COOPER



A small Englishman called Mini Cooper is often a target of many tuners. A designer Joe Iacono and Rick Leos, a famous hot-rodder from Autocraft of Torrance in South California like small, but cute vehicles, so they’ve taken one Mini Cooper to a garage.
So these gentlemen has done one modification named Mini Cooper S Cabrio R53, but now they want to know what amount of power under the hood can this tiny car handle. So they’ve focused to its stuff under the hood.
So the first thing done was modifications of head cylinders on the Mini’s 1.6 four cylinder engine.
Of course, the performance tuning like this need better camshafts, tuned lead-ins and modified exhaust system. Also there’s new turbocharger and heavy duty intercooler. These ingredients boost the engine to some 300hp.
It’s pity that there’s no closer info about its top speed, acceleration and other interesting stuff. This power engine must do miracles in case of the light-weight Mini.
So the R56’s design looks exactly as the previous R53. A sporting bodykit bringing some muscles is a work of Joe Iacon. It’s not very aggressive, but decent with a sense for pure lines.
And if you combine the bodykit with beautiful black rims with red hem and vented brake discs under; the best warrior mix is here to attract all nearby eyes. And the Englishman looks great!
And what about its interior? The whole interior includes black leather upholstery with red stitches all around and it’s a great choice. Everyone who enters the car knows that it’s in the Airborne, because all Mini badges were removed and replaced with Airborne ones.
If you like this Mini and want to own this nice car in your garage don’t wait too long. There’ll be only 100 models available, but there’s a great chance that you’ll have the only Airborne in your county.
